Extradition Of Christopher Clemmons
(Atlanta) – Christopher Clemmons was successfully extradited from Colorado on August 3, 2016 by the Atlanta Police Department Fugitive Team.
In August 2015 an investigation was launched by the Atlanta Police Department revolving around the conversion of school funds for personal use by former administrator Christopher Clemmons. An initial estimate of loss exceeded $600,000.
Mr. Christopher Clemmons was the director of Finances at the Atlanta Latin Academy Charter School. During our investigation it was revealed that Mr. Clemmons stole funds by using the schools credit card on personal dinners, non-work related travel expenses, ATM withdrawals and personal entertainment at local nightclubs.
On Tuesday April 16, 2016 The F.B.I. Fugitive Task Force in Colorado located and arrested Christopher Clemmons in the Denver, Colorado area. The founder and former director of the Latin Academy was arrested on warrants drawn by the Atlanta Police Major Fraud Unit and extradited to Atlanta. Clemmons is being held at the Fulton County Jail.
