Mayor Kasim Reed Statement on Revised Boil Water Advisory
ATLANTA – “In consultation with the Georgia Environmental Protection Division the City of Atlanta is lifting the Boil Water Advisory issued yesterday, with the exception of two isolated portions of our service area: the Mechanicsville neighborhood and the Campbellton-Fairburn Road area. Residents and businesses in these two areas should continue to boil water for consumption or use bottled water. The water is safe for bathing and hand-washing.
The City expects final test results by Saturday afternoon and will evaluate whether the partial advisory may be lifted at that time.
Our priority is to ensure the highest quality drinking water for Atlanta. We appreciate the public’s patience and support during this period.”
