Mayor Kasim Reed to Present Atlanta Hawks Player Kent Bazemore with Phoenix Award Honoring Service to the Community

WHAT:

Mayor Kasim Reed will present Atlanta Hawks guard/forward Kent Bazemore with a Phoenix Award in recognition of his outstanding service to the community. The Phoenix Award is the highest honor the Mayor can bestow on an individual in recognition of their achievements and service to the City of Atlanta.

Mayor Reed will be joined by NBA Hall of Famer and former Atlanta Hawk Dominique Wilkins, and Erika Mitchell, President of Sports Unlimited Enterprise who will present Mr. Bazemore with the President’s Volunteer Service Award signed by President Barack Obama. The President’s Volunteer Service Award recognizes professional, collegiate, retired and youth athletes for their involvement with volunteerism and community service.

WSB-TV Sports Director Zach Klein will host the ceremony.
