Renew Atlanta-TSPLOST General Manager Faye DiMassimo Appointed to Georgia Regional Transportation Authority Board

ATLANTA – The City of Atlanta announced today that Governor Nathan Deal has appointed Faye DiMassimo, General Manager of the Renew Atlanta-TSPLOST program, to the Georgia Regional Transportation Authority Board of Directors.

“I am pleased that Governor Nathan Deal has appointed Faye DiMassimo to the Georgia Regional Transportation Authority Board of Directors,” said Mayor Kasim Reed. “Since joining our team, Ms. DiMassimo has brought a tremendous level of expertise and leadership to the $250 million Renew Atlanta infrastructure bond program. In recognition of her abilities, I asked her to manage the five-year, $300 million TSPLOST program as well. I offer my congratulations to Faye DiMassimo on her appointment.”

The Georgia Regional Transportation Authority (GRTA) is a state-level authority that addresses mobility and air quality in metro Atlanta.  In 2017, GRTA combined with the State Road and Tollway Authority (SRTA) to jointly provide the services of both state authorities.

“I am deeply honored to be appointed by Governor Nathan Deal to serve on the SRTA Georgia Regional Transportation Authority Board,” said Faye DiMassimo. “Chris Tomlinson’s tremendous leadership of the agency and its important mission are also reflective of my 36 years in planning, developing and implementing mobility systems supporting residents, businesses and visitors. Clearly, this opportunity also demonstrates confidence in the City of Atlanta’s important role and Mayor Kasim Reed’s visionary leadership in advancing effective and efficient quality infrastructure in the City of Atlanta and the State of Georgia.”

DiMassimo is also a member of the 2017 Atlanta Hall Management Board of Directors for the College Football Hall of Fame and the Earl Smith Strand Theatre Board of Trustees. DiMassimo is a graduate of the Regional Leadership Institute and Leadership Cobb. She earned bachelor’s and master’s degrees in Public Administration and City Planning from Auburn University.
