Mayor Kasim Reed Statement on Mass Shooting in Sutherland Springs, Texas

ATLANTA - “I am deeply saddened to hear of the horrific shooting in Sutherland Springs, Texas. My thoughts and prayers are with those who have been affected by this unconscionable act of violence. 

While the details of this tragedy are still under investigation, we join the congregation of First Baptist Church and the Sutherland Springs community in mourning the senseless loss of life in a sacred space. The City of Atlanta offers its full support to the people of Sutherland Springs and the State of Texas in the wake of this tragedy. We hold you in our hearts, and we share your grief.

May God bless and watch over us all in this time of great sadness.”
