The City of Atlanta to Host Site Tour and Informational for domestiCITY Affordable Housing Design Competition

WHAT:

The Department of City Planning will host a site tour and informational session for the domestiCITYAffordable Housing Design Competition. During the event, City Planning Commissioner Tim Keane will present information and answer questions regarding the competition and the City’s planning efforts.

In August, the Department launched the competition, a program seeking innovative design ideas to promote more affordable housing options in the City of Atlanta. The competition calls for organizations to propose feasible models for designing and constructing multi-family affordable housing units.

The City of Atlanta will award $150,000 to the top six design proposals. The competition focuses specifically on the redevelopment of Santa Fe Villas, but the model will be replicated for other affordable housing projects in Atlanta.
