Signature Programs Unit
Purpose:
To lead citywide workforce initiatives that target youth, young adults, and special populations through innovative and high-impact programming.
Key Functions:
- Administers all Signature Program youth employment services, including:
- The Mayor’s Summer Youth Employment Program (SYEP)
- The Mayor’s Youth Leadership Institute (MYLI)
- Designs career readiness, entrepreneurship, and financial literacy pathways for youth ages 14–24.
- Manage partnerships with philanthropic organizations to fund and scale citywide youth employment opportunities.
- Annie E. Casie Foundation (AECF) – Summer-to-Perm Employment
- Arthur M. Blank Foundation (PACE)
- Expand workforce innovation pilots
- SCEI
- Coordinate with workforce partners to facilitate career readiness bootcamps designed to equip residents with essential workforce skills

- Hosts employer engagement events and career fairs to match residents with high-demand industries
- Supports employer participation in youth employment, apprenticeship, and reentry initiatives.
