Developer's Forum Coming Soon! 

The Housing Commission is hosting a Developer's Forum on on February 4 from 8:30a - 10:00a at the Georgia Hill Neighborhood Center. At the forum we'll be discussing opportunities and challenges facing developers interesting in developing affordable housing solutions in Atlanta. The venue has limited space, so please reach out to housingcommission@atlantaga.gov if you'd like to RSVP for the event. 


What is the Housing Commission?

The City of Atlanta Housing Commission is an independent body created by the Atlanta City Council to provide recommendations to the Mayor and City Council on housing policies, procedures, practices, and financing. The Commission meets on the second Monday of each month at 10:00 AM in Committee Room 1 of Atlanta City Hall.

The specific responsibilities of the Commission include:

  1. Reviewing the housing policies of the City
  2. Reviewing the City’s permitting procedures related to the construction and rehabilitation of housing
  3. Exploring creative methods of financing affordable housing
  4. Reviewing best practices in housing policies, practices and procedures of other jurisdictions
