The Atlanta Beltline Project is a major planning initiative for the City of Atlanta that provides a unique opportunity to bring together neighborhood revitalization, new development and workforce housing organized around a 22-mile corridor of transit, trails, open space, historic resources, and public art. The City of Atlanta’s Office of Zoning and Development is an active member of the team of agencies and organizations working to make the Atlanta Beltline a reality.

Atlanta BeltLine Zoning Ordinance
Due to the Atlanta BeltLine’s role as a stimulus for economic development in the City of Atlanta, the Ofice of Zoning and Development has implemented a set of urban design regulations to facilitate growth throughout the BeltLine Planning Area. The ordinance which was adopted in February 2007 is used to evaluate all development activities within the BeltLine overlay district.
