Park Permitting & Design Review Meetings

The review of Park Permitting & Design ensures high quality planning, design and construction standards for public use, enjoyment and safety.
Our Vision: To make recreation and parks the heart and soul of Atlanta through a diverse, yet seamless and interconnected system of parks, recreation, and natural areas.
A City of Atlanta Department of Parks and Recreation stamp of approval and
signature is required on all permit plan documents prior to permit submission at
the City of Atlanta permitting office in the Office of Buildings.
Official letters of approval, review, stipulations and requirements are provided for
applicants to ensure a successful park proposal project. This review and letter does
not negate any permit requirements for your proposal including: Parks and Recreation
stamp, Arborist stamp, Site Development, Department of Watershed Management,
Army Corps of Engineer, Bureau of Buildings, The Urban Design Commission, State
or County authorities, etc.
MEETING DATES: Meetings are scheduled on the second and fourth Thursday of
every month excluding holidays.
All meetings are currently held virtually through Zoom.

MEETING PREPARATION:
Please provide a digital copy of your proposal and presentation materials via link or email attachment to Tara Buckner at TLBuckner@atlantaga.gov
Digital proposals must be received by the Friday prior to the meeting date.
Presentations will be limited to 5 minutes with 5 minutes of Q&A.
