 Healthy Homes Atlanta

Healthy Homes Atlanta consists of two programs: the Healthy Homes Production Grant Program and the Lead Hazard Reduction Capacity Building Program (LHRCB). Together, these initiatives take a comprehensive approach to addressing residential health and safety hazards in low-income housing to protect vulnerable populations, particularly children. The programs emphasize cost-effective, holistic interventions, including community engagement and education, as well as the development of a network of trained partners through HUD-supported trainings. These efforts address multiple housing-related hazards, such as lead, mold, allergens, carbon monoxide, pests, and more.

We are seeking partnerships with community organizations and establishing public registries of lead-safe housing. LHRCB is a 3-year grant that serves as a precursor to larger, full-scale lead hazard reduction grants by helping jurisdictions establish the required expertise and systems.

Request For Qualifications

The City of Atlanta, Department of Grants and Community Development (DGCD), is seeking Statements of Qualifications (SOQs) from contractors seeking to participate in the Healthy Homes Production Program (Healthy Home Atlanta, HHA). This program, funded by the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD), aims to mitigate health and safety hazards in residential properties, particularly in low-income households. The program focuses on addressing issues such as lead-based paint, mold, radon, and other environmental health hazards in homes located within the city limits of Atlanta, with a priority on the Westside Promise Zone neighborhoods.
