The Department of Public Works requires that customers submit any billing dispute no less than seven (7) days prior to the due date of a disputed solid waste bill. This follows Code Section 130-85(b): "A customer shall submit a dispute on a form provided by the city no less than seven days prior to the due date of a disputed solid waste bill."

To dispute a solid waste bill, download and complete the DPW Solid Waste Dispute Form and submit it to DPWSolidWasteBilling@atlantaga.gov with the Subject Line: Solid Waste Bill Dispute.

You have the right to appeal your dispute decision to the Solid Waste Appeals Board. The appeal must be submitted within seven (7) business days of receiving your notice.  

You can appeal a Solid Waste dispute by completing the attached DPW Appeals Form. Download the Appeals Request Form, complete it, and submit it to DPWSolidWasteBilling@atlantaga.gov with the Subject Line: Solid Waste Appeals Board.
