An additional garbage (green) and/or recycling (blue) cart can be purchased at a cost of $70 each.

Complete and submit the Additional Cart(s) Request Form, along with your payment (check, money order, or cashier’s check) via mail or in person. An incomplete form will result in service delays.

Once the request form is received, please allow seven (7) business days for a response.

You can provide your own service with proper documentation. DPW requires an official contract from your private service provider. Email to DPWSolidWasteBilling@atlantaga.gov.

Senior citizens may be eligible for discounts if they meet the criteria outlined on our Senior Financial Services page.

The Department of Public Works requires that customers submit any billing dispute no less than seven (7) days prior to the due date of a disputed solid waste bill.

This follows Code Section 130-85(b): "A customer shall submit a dispute on a form provided by the city no less than seven days prior to the due date of a disputed solid waste bill."

To dispute a solid waste bill, download and complete the DPW Solid Waste Dispute Form and submit it to DPWSolidWasteBilling@atlantaga.gov with the Subject Line: Solid Waste Bill Dispute.

You have the right to appeal your dispute decision to the Solid Waste Appeals Board. The appeal must be submitted within seven (7) business days of receiving your notice.  

You can appeal a Solid Waste dispute by completing the attached DPW Appeals Form. Download the Appeals Request Form, complete it, and submit it to DPWSolidWasteBilling@atlantaga.gov with the Subject Line: Solid Waste Appeals Board.
