CITY OF ATLANTA CERTIFICATION PROCESS
The first step in certifying your business with the City of Atlanta is to obtain a City of Atlanta Supplier ID (vendor) number. The procedure to obtain a Supplier ID is a free, automated process, that can be accomplished on-line. To register with the City of Atlanta, click on this link to apply for your free Supplier ID number. If you have any questions regarding the City's Supplier ID (vendor) number acquisition process, please call (404) 546-1000.
Once you have obtained your City of Atlanta Supplier ID (vendor) number, please login here to complete the certification application. With the City, you are able to obtain an Equal Business Opportunity (EBO) certification and/or a Small Business Opportunity (SBO) certification. However, the City no longer certifies firms for the Federal Disadvantaged Business Enterprise (DBE) program.
OCC ONLINE CERTIFICATION APPLICATION
The OCC Online Certification Application (OLA) is the method to submit applications. To apply or renew for EBO/SBO certifications, please visit our Supplier Diversity Management System (SDMS) site at https://atlantaga.gob2g.com/. Applicants are encouraged to take the available training session for the OLA through our Supplier Diversity Management System site. The training will provide step-by-step instructions for setting up your account, completing the City of Atlanta OLA, as well as submitting the OLA. The OCC Certification Department will only accept applications that are submitted via SDMS. In addition, the City of Atlanta no longer requires the Biennial “No Change” Affidavit once certified.
Currently Certified EBO Firms Who Desire SBO Certification
If your company is currently certified under the City of Atlanta's Equal Business Opportunity (EBO) Program and you would like to have your company evaluated for Small Business Opportunity (SBO) certification, please contact the Office of Contract Compliance Certification Department for more information and direction on the process. The number to the office is 404-330-6010. Firms who fall in this particular category will not be required to complete a full EBO/SBO Application.
EBO/SBO ORDINANCES
The City's previous Equal Business Opportunity and Small Business Enterprise Ordinances which were enacted in 2016, sunset on December 31, 2021. The new ordinances took effect on January 1, 2022. DBE CERTIFICATION
To apply for DBE/ACDBE certification, please visit the GA Department of Transportation (G-DOT) website. If you are looking for the database of certified DBE firms, scroll toward the bottom of that page and click the tab marked "Directories". Next, go to the UCP Directory, then click "Excel" to access the downloadable real-time list. If you live in Dekalb, Fulton, or Clayton County, you may also receive your DBE certification through Marta. After accessing this link, scroll midway down the page to apply for certification.
Furthermore, the Office of Contract Compliance encourages all certified businesses to diversify and expand into other areas. As such, firms are required to provide documented evidence of experience under any additional NAICS codes. To do so, please contact the Office at 404-330-6010 to submit additional documentation. Also, please note, firms may only receive participation credit in the NAICS codes for which they are certified.
