Mayor Andre Dickens was sworn into office again on Monday, January 5, 2026, inside the Georgia State University Convocation Center. The ceremony marked the start of his second term as Atlanta’s 61st mayor and recommitted the city to moving as one Atlanta built on safety, opportunity, and shared purpose.

In his address, the mayor thanked residents and the City Council, reflected on progress from the first term, and laid out a forward-looking agenda focused on affordable housing, youth investment, and transformative infrastructure guided by effective and ethical leadership
